I felt extra bad, because on this 3rd morning of the voyage Natalie came to visit (with bacon treats in hand) and she got really sad when she saw my kennel. She told me it reminded her of when I had heart trouble from my heartworm treatment.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t eat the treats she brought me, because the Kennel Master recommended I shouldn’t eat until the sickness passed. I tried to hold it in, in order to get the bacon treats and unfortunately, I messed a few more times that day.
To make matters worse, I could not stop crying. I tried, because I knew that this was making Natalie really upset, but I couldn’t help myself. I did make it a point to try and be braver the next day.
Natalie and April visited me throughout the day and when the kennels were closed to visitors, Natalie and April further explored the ship’s activities.
The first thing Natalie and April did was workout. They both ran at the gym. While it felt good to run, jogging on the treadmill at sea is not very stable.
For lunch, Natalie and April decided to try Brittania restaurant. They had eaten here for dinner the prior two nights, but wanted to see what the lunch menu was like. They rather enjoyed it and both agreed it was much more relaxing than dinner (primarily because they didn’t need to dress up.)

During the afternoon, Natalie and April played a mean game of scrabble on Deck 2. They got a nice view of the ocean while playing and they won one game each.
Dinner consisted of a buffet meal at the Carvery. The Carvery is one of four restaurants on Queen Mary’s version of restaurant row, called the King’s Court. In the King’s Court, there is the Carvery, La Piazza, The Lotus and Chef’s Galley. It is April and Natalie’s mission to try all these restaurants before they leave the ship.
After dinner, Natalie and April decided to hit the Veuve Clicquot champagne bar again – since they weren’t wearing formal attire, they got interesting looks from some of the other guests in the bar. Natalie and April did not mind, though – they just raised their glasses to the curious onlookers and kept on enjoying their champagne.
Natalie and April definitely got a restful night’s sleep, especially with a few glasses of champagne in them and plenty of food. I, on the other hand, did not sleep that well; however, I was starting to adjust to this crazy new environment I was in.
Paws,
Sabrina
